Expert Dental Care From A Passionate And Caring Team

‘First class, pain free and of the highest quality’ (Care Quality Commission)

Very good for nervous people. I hate going to the dentist but here I am put at ease and go at my pace. They explain everything to me clearly and give me tips on how to improve. Would recommend to anyone who doesn’t have a good experience with the dentist.

Absolutely first class. Due to various reasons (excuses) I had not visited a dentist since a house move over 6 years ago so I was somewhat concerned (terrified actually) at joining a new dental practice. The staff were all very friendly, caring, put me right at ease and were utmost professional. To. All in all I can not recommend the staff and the practice high enough and almost look forward to going back there in six months time for a check up!"

  • Give you a longer appointment where you can chat though your concerns and anxieties. We will listen to you and discuss how we can best help.
  • Encourage you to bring someone with you in to the surgery if that helps, sometimes having music ready with earphones can be calming.
  • Offer hypnotherapy, CBT and other behaviour management techniques through our work with “Blossom Hypnotherapy”
  • Arrange for you to have treatment with Sedation which can all be arranged in house, with the same dentists that will be looking after you

Dental Sedation Treatment

Dental sedation is a way of relaxing a patient by giving a small amount of sedative drug before treatment. Sedation can be used for patients that are having long or complex treatments as well as to help those that have a worry or fear of the dentist.

It is extremely safe and wears off quickly so that you can go home soon after the treatment has finished. You will be very clam and relaxed and often have very little memory of the procedure.
Sedation is very safe. It is a well-controlled way of relaxing a patient. You will be monitored throughout the procedure by a highly trained dentist and nurse in the relaxed surrounds of our beautiful practice.

No, sedation can linger in your system for up to 8 hours after the treatment has finished so you will need to be escorted to the appointment and home again afterwards. We advise that you don’t do anything for the rest of the day, you may feel a little sleepy and forgetful which is all normal and will wear off gradually.

People who have sedation find it a really pleasant way to have their dental treatment done and prefer to have this every time. Other people find that having their treatment under sedation builds their confidence enough to try treatment without. Whatever your choice, we can help find the right way for you.

Sedation is not usually given to children under 16. All patients are asked to complete a detailed medical questionnaire and if there are any reasons why sedation may not be suitable, they will be discussed with you by your dentist. You will be booked for an initial sedation consultation appointment in which you will be assess and be given all the information and costs. One hour of sedation costs £250
